Should you care about Champion
Bred Poodle puppies if you just want a pet? I'll answer
you with another question: Do you want a Poodle that looks and
acts as a Poodle should? If your answer is yes, then you
should care about having a puppy breed from Champions.
Conformation Champions have been judged by the bred standard
to be the quality and temperament to carry on the next generation.
The basic purpose of conformation dog shows is to evaluate
the breeding stock for use in producing the next generations.
A Champion poodle has defeated quite a few other poodles
because he/she is a better representative of the breed
standard. Conformation Champions and other Performance titles
should be one of the first things you look for in a breeder.
Don't be fooled by breeders who say they have show quality
puppies when they have NO Champions!!!
research, ask for the names of the Breeders and or
Professional handlers that have evaluated the litter and
contact them. I ALWAYS have the litters evaluated
by people who have decades of experience in breeding and
evaluating puppies. It also ensures I am not kennel
blind to what I like over what is the best to improve the
breed. I would be happy to provide you the names of the
individuals that evaluated the puppies.
second thing you should look for is health testing. Breeders
who do more then the minimum for the breed signifies that they
are concerned about the health of their dogs and the puppies
that they will produce. Ask for copies of the
certificates or look for the results posted in the

Responsible breeders educate
themselves by researching their lines and networking with
other breeders. Responsible breeders try to use the best dogs
that are available to them for every breeding. If a breeder
says they "Breed for themselves," ask them why? If they
claim it's for the betterment of the breed, do they have
champions? How do they know they are breeding a better
dog without producing champions in either conformation or
performance events? Do they go to sires outside of their
kennels? If they keep breeding the same dogs to the
males they have, they are nothing more than PUPPY MILLS and
BACKYARD BREEDERS who are ONLY producing dogs to make money!
Improving the breed is knowing what your dog lacks and going
out to find that male/female that will complement and correct
factors for the next generation! Please do not support

Our poodles live in our home as pets, not in
a kennel. I register puppies with the American Kennel Club
(AKC). The dogs are physically supervised while
outdoors on 6.2 acres. We are 450 feet back from the road on a
dead end street. Why are we always outside with them? Anything can happen and we are responsible.
We conduct both structured and unstructured playing and
training. All poodles are groomed by myself and given that
special one-on-one time. We believe in taking good care of
them because a good, healthy dog will give you years of
unconditional love and friendship.
All puppies are sold with a Limited AKC registration
on a spay/neuter contract unless agreement has been made for
co-ownership for the desire to show in the conformation ring. I
handle my own poodles in AKC, UKC and IABCA conformation show
rings. My show standards are shown by Sharon Svoboda, Professional
Handler. I am an active member of the Poodle Club of Tulsa (AKC), Apricot Red Poodle Club (AKC) and the Multi
Colored Poodle Club of America
(UKC). Why so many? Because the clubs need our support and
they signify dedication to the sport.
Our puppies are generally groomed 3 to 4 times before given to
the new owner so they are familiar to the grooming
process. Each puppy comes with a puppy pack of goodies,
health guarantee, health certificate, vaccinations, four
generation pedigree, registered with AKC, paper training
and worming to date. All puppies are socialized and
pampered. We also perform
Bio-sensor stimulation training and the Volhard Puppy Aptitude test.
